Fixed interest rate ensures guaranteed returns on maturity
Capital Protection
Your principal amount is completely safe and protected
Flexible Tenure
Choose tenure from 7 days to 10 years based on your needs
Types of FD
🏦 Regular FD
Standard fixed deposit with fixed tenure and interest rate.
💰 Tax Saver FD
5-year FD with tax deduction benefits under Section 80C.
👴 Senior Citizen FD
Higher interest rates for senior citizens (60+ years).
FD Interest Calculation Methods
Simple Interest
Formula: SI = (P × R × T) / 100
Where P = Principal, R = Rate, T = Time
Used for short-term deposits and when interest is paid out periodically.
Compound Interest
Formula: A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt)
Where n = compounding frequency per year
Used when interest is compounded quarterly, monthly, or annually.

FD Investment Tips
📈 Ladder Your FDs
Create multiple FDs with different maturity dates to ensure regular liquidity and better rates.
🏦 Compare Interest Rates
Different banks offer varying rates. Small finance banks often provide higher rates.
💰 Consider Tax Implications
FD interest is taxable. Consider tax-saver FDs for Section 80C benefits up to ₹1.5 lakh.
